May has been quite an unexpectedly busy month, from wedding calligraphy, workshops, open studios, anniversaries and holidays. Sometimes, I find it really hard to document every piece of what is going on in my life through social media - so here’s a little recap…

Wedding Anniversary Celebration
May started off with a bit of a personal milestone with my 20-year wedding anniversary. I know it’s clichéd to say but where have those years gone! We spent the morning on the Barbican, Plymouth and treated ourselves to a child-free night away at the Harbour Beach Club Hotel in Salcombe which was just heavenly.

A great weekend event that allowed us, residents, at Alma Yard to showcase our studios, work and have a chat with everyone who turned up. I hosted an introduction to letterpress and a beginner’s modern calligraphy taster session which was a hit. I cannot wait for the next event.

To finish off a busy old May we took a family trip to our favourite place, St. Agnes on the Isles of Scilly. It’s such a special place for us as a family. A much-needed rest from work, news, social media and everyday life was just what we all needed.
